About Gurkha Cup
Every year, thousands of Nepali people from all across the UK come together for the year’s most anticipated football event organised by Tamu Dhee – Gurkha Cup. Celebrating its 21st anniversary, this year’s Gurkha Cup was held on the 28th of May at Queen’s Avenue football field in Aldershot where 14,000 people are said to have been in attendance. With around 100 business and food stalls, various entertainment programmes and 350 special guests present, it’s safe to say Gurkha Cup 2023 was a huge success all around!
Security at Gurkha Cup 2023
This year, we were able to contribute towards the successful organisation of the event by sponsoring the entry wristbands and providing security staff to manage the safety of all those present. Nepbridge Services provided 11,500 wristbands which were colour coordinated for different guests, making it easy for staff at the entry points to direct people to their designated parking areas. 42 of our security guards patrolled the event throughout the whole day, making sure the premises and personnel present were safe, as well as ensuring safe entry and exit out of the venue for all guests. We even had two of our security staff guarding the premises the night before to keep everyone’s stalls and set-ups protected. All in all, they all did a fantastic job of representing Nepbridge Security Services as the event ran as smoothly as possible. A huge thank you to Tamu Dhee for allowing us to be a part of such an amazing occasion!

Nepbridge Services at Gurkha Cup – Face painting, Prize Wheels and More!
Our stall was also a massive hit – we had the lovely Sharon from Snazzy Roo Face Painting do face painting for both children and adults, a prize wheel with lots of goodies to win and our exceptional mascot Mickey Mouse (thank you Sujan!) who greeted all our visitors despite the scorching hot weather! It got extremely busy with all the hustle and bustle, but nonetheless we all had an amazing time getting together, watching some football, eating a whole lot of delicious food, meeting and handing out leaflets and pens to new customers, and most importantly interacting with our existing customers who always show us so much love at these events. Gurkha Cup always gives us the opportunity to be able to branch out to both new and old faces and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful. Our aim for the day was to meet as many of you as possible and bring more awareness to our brand and the many services we offer; it’s safe to say we were able to do exactly that!
As much as we enjoyed this year’s Gurkha Cup, there’s always a next to look forward to. See you all at Gurkha Cup 2024!
