This year’s Gurkha Cup, held on the 26th of May at the sunny fields of Queens Avenue Sports Field in Aldershot, was a remarkable celebration of Nepali culture, football, and community spirit. With around 15000 visitors, the event was a vibrant blend of sports, delicious food, and diverse stalls, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended.
The football tournament itself was the highlight of the day, showcasing exceptional talent and sportsmanship. Teams battled it out with passion and skill, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats throughout the matches.
From Food Stalls to Clothing Stalls – Gurkha Cup Had it All!
Every year, Gurkha Cup 2024 featured an array of stalls that added to the festive atmosphere. Food stalls offered a mouth-watering selection of Nepali cuisine, from momo to chatpate, satisfying the cravings of all food lovers. Clothing and accessory stalls showcased traditional and modern Nepali fashion, while various businesses presented their products and services, reflecting the entrepreneurial spirit of the Nepali community.
