The Close Protection Course is a high-level qualification designed for learners wishing to apply for an SIA Close Protection licence and operate professionally within the UK Private Security Industry as Close Protection operatives/Bodyguards.
This course supports a real-world operational role and prepares learners for work protecting individuals in high-risk, high-responsibility environments. Training is aligned with SIA specifications and focuses on legal compliance, situational awareness, threat management, and professional conduct.
This qualification is particularly well suited to service leavers, building on transferable skills such as situational awareness, discipline, threat assessment, and operational planning, and supporting a smooth transition into specialist civilian security and protection roles.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • Must speak English fluently
    • Must provide valid identification and proof of address
