The Security Officer Refresher Course is a mandatory one-day course for individuals renewing their SIA Security Officer (Guarding) licence. It ensures you remain compliant with current SIA requirements while refreshing your knowledge of key areas, including principles of terror threat awareness, effective search procedures, and how to keep vulnerable people safe.

Designed for experienced Security Officers, this refresher allows you to renew your licence efficiently and continue working in roles such as static guarding, corporate security, and retail security without disruption.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

• Must hold a current or recently expired SIA Security Officer licence (within the SIA renewal period).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a basic level of English test.
• Must provide valid identification and proof of address.
